Exporting my Animation – 24fps? Progressive?
Hi
I need to export my animation so that it can be watched on TV.
I know that in Europe (I’m living in Austria) you have to go PAL with 25 fps and interlaced. But is that also necessary with animations or does this only matter with live action films?
My animation is animated in 24 fps. Can I export it as 24 fps or are there problems?
Also, should I export it as interlaced or as progressive? And which size should I use (it’s vector graphics and I don’t want it to look blurry on the TV)Thank you!

What are you playing it back from? Tape? DVD? Etc…

The Animation consists of Photoshop and Illustrator files only (no filmed footage) and I will burn it to DVD – so that it can be watched with a regular DVD player (not avi, mov, mpeg4, etc.)
By the way, thanks for your Photoshop for Video videos. I really enjoy them. There’s always something to learn.

24 FPS or 25 FPS will work for you…
Export Animation Codec Movie… then Encode… you didn’t specify which DVD App you’re using… but both Encore and DVD SP come iwth compression tools and pretty easy to use presets.
Render then compress

I’m working on an animation thats been captured at 24fps and now I need to output to 25fps? how do I do this please?
