I am very new to Adobe Premiere Pro. Once I finish an edit in the timeline and need to export a QuickTime file, I go to File>Export Media. The export window pops up, and I make sure all of my settings are correct, set a destination for the file, and click Export. For a split second, a progress bar that says “exporting data” pops up and then disappears. I mean a fraction of a second. Then nothing. I check the destination I set for the file, and there is nothing there. Am I missing something in this process? Or could this be a more serious issue? Deadline approaching! Please help!

What version of Premiere Pro? Have you installed the recent updates? What operating system?

There’s an overview of exporting here. But it sounds like you’re probably doing what’s described there.

You can also start Adobe Media Encoder and then add sequences to the encoding queue that way. Here’s information on that.

Oh wow. I didn’t realize that Adobe Media Encoder was the middle-man. Got it now, thanks.
