Exporting information to a log sheet!!
I am trying to copy/paste every clip that I’ve digitized into a tape log sheet, (they want it listed) with the name/description, and media start/end, without grabbing extraneous information. Should I export the bin as some specific file type, or is Highlight/Copy/Paste in the bin my best option?

You can export a batch list. Look it up in your FCP manual or do a search here for step-by-step instructions.

Hello Aryn,
Just right click on sequence in your browser and choose Export > Batch list. Then once it is saved you can open it, copy the info and paste it into an Excel spread sheet (right click on cell A1 and choose “paste”) . It will paste nicely into a spread sheet with columns and headers matching exactly what you have in your browser window. Take out any info you don’t need, keep the info you need as it exports EVERYTHING in the batch list!
Quite a handy and simple solution. We use it for a lot of different things.Hope this helps.
