Exporting in Final Cut Pro h264 problem..
Hey guys,
First time poster, i’m a constant reader and thought this would be the best possible place to post my problem. I’m exporting a video for Vimeo, i used a canon 7d for the shoot and shot in 60fps(slowed down to 24 fps and converted to Apple Prores 422 LT) and normal 24fps(converted to Apple Prores 422 LT). I’ve never had a problem with quality loss when exporting to h264 but i’ve found i’m experiencing really low quality when exporting this time. My timeline sequence settings are set to Apple ProRes 422 LT 1280×720 24p 48 KHz. i’ve got a feeling it’s because i’m editing with Slow mo and Regular footage. If i export to Apple ProRes the quality is fine. Any suggestions?

Try using Compressor to convert the exported Apple ProRes version.
Vimeo has some good tutorials on using Compressor and optimising quality.
