Exporting high resol Illustrator layers to After Effects
I just created a character on Illustrator which I want to animate on AE. But when I import on AE, the resolution of the AI files are lower than what I want. How can I import a higher resolution version of the AI layers? Or can I change the dpi of illustrator?

AI files are vector. If you import a vector file into AE, there’s a little button on the timeline that you can check. This will keep the resolution of your imported vector image regardless how big you scale it up. I forgot the name of that checkbox. Just look it up in the manual. It has a little sun-like shape/icon.

It’s called continuosly rasterize switch, it’s on the switches panel, right next to motion blur, draft quality and frame blending.
