Exporting HD to tape using Premiere CS4
I captured HD video from my Sony HDR HS7 camcorder with no problems. I edited the captured video down to approximately an hour, incorporating voiceover, music and transitions. All the editing went very well. However, when I attempt to export the edited video to tape I get numerous glitches, consisting of stop-and-start for anywhere from one-half to two seconds. All of my hardware satisfies the requirements for editing HD using CS4. Moreover, I have had several conversations with Adobe technical support, to no avail. I have optimized the system, including a dedicated hard drive in RAID 0 configuration. I had a little better luck exporting to a rented Canon HD20 camcorder, but still encountered a couple of glitches. What could be the problem? Is it a CS4 software problem? Is it a camcorder problem? Or is it a computer hardware problem?
