    Greetings,

I’m using CS5 on an HP machine. I shoot sports action with a Sony V1U, capture in HDV format, edit and export to an AVI file. Then I’ve been using the basic Windows DVD maker for the final product.

I’ve noticed, however, that the final product still seems to look very SD and not even great SD at that. I’ve been experimenting with the various settings but can’t find one that equals the life of the raw footage that I’m capturing.

When I was using Premiere 6.5 years ago with basic DV footage and the early editions of DVDit, it seemed to be so much clearer and vivid.

    Suggestions?

DVD is SD. If you want HD, you need to author to BluRay. Meaning a BluRay burner, BluRay discs. And software like Toast.
