Exporting full resolution in FCP
Hello everybody,
I’m a newbie with FCP so any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance……
Soooo..a friend of a friend gave me a bunch of footage to edit, which I gladly did. He was not sure what type of camera the footage was shot on but in the .mov files the info reads:
Dimensions: 960 x540
Codecs: Integer (Big Endian), Apple Intermediate CodecSo I edited the footage in FCP 6.0.6 (and did the sequence settings to match the footage) and exported out for the web with h.264 codec at 1280×720.
NOW, a production company wants to use the footage as a part of their show for a convention, and apparently the footage is going to be shown on “big screens”. I haven’t been told how big the screens are, and they’ve only instructed me to just get the “highest resolution possible” to them.
I’ve done some online searches, and I’m sure the answer is out there, and is simple, but I just can’t seem to figure it out. Don’t know if this is making any sense, but basically, I just need to learn how to export my project so it can be shown at the highest resolution possible. Help!
