  • Exporting from HD to mpeg2 problems

When I try to export from .mts files 1440×1080 25fps to Mpeg2-DVD Pal high quality, the finished files have just half the length of the original film. It plays at doble the speed. I’m not an expert so the obvious answer is probably right. 😉

Make sure you select the entire sequence in the export settings.

I think im doing that. Before I start exporting it says estimatet size 580MB, but the finished file is just 340MB and plays at doble the speed.

Can you post your sequence settings and export settings.
    Prefably a screendump.

In your export settings field order should be Upper and Aspect Ratio set to Widescreen.
I cannot read the sequence settings very clearly, what camera is used? Interlaced or progressive?

Ok. Thank you. I used a progressive.

I still would like to know which camera and exact settings.

A Canon HG10 with a 50i framerate. Is that correct?

I that case your project settings need to be corrected:
AVCHD 1080i25, and if you shot in CineMode the settings should be 1080p25
