    Hello Everyone,

I just bought an apple Imac and got Final cut pro 7 installed. I am new to both Apple and Final cut pro. Can some one please tell me after i’ve completed a project how can i transfer the project to a Betacam SP and what firewire cable should I use? Please help me out here.

    Thank you in advance.

You need an i/o card to lay out to tape.
You are very limited in this area with an iMac.

You need Firwire to Analog i/o such as the outdated AJA IOLA
    Also look @ Matrox products.

If you pass the video signal thru a dv deck, you do not need to lay off with i/o device. The trick though is deck control. We use a usb to rs422 converter/keyspan to control our beta deck.
