  • Exporting from FCP ? whats the best quality

Posted by Andy Smith on August 8, 2011 at 10:41 pm

    I have FCP 7.

I am not using HD footage.

I want to export and burn to a DVD.

    I have COMPRESSOR.

I usually export to quicktime movie, but the color isnt as sharp.

What settings do I need for the ultra nice DVD?

    THANKS

Pick the Apple “Best” settings in DVDSP – 90, 120, 150 depending on the amount of total minutes on the DVD.

Use the Send to Compressor Feature.

Andy, QuickTime may change the way it looks for display, but the data is exactly what you had in FCP7.

Launch compressor – there are pre-sets there for you to use.
