Exporting for non-HD TV commercial
I am a FCP newbie and have been exporting for web-based videos only up to this point. Can someone give me an idea as to what the appropriate settings would be for a non-HD TV spot??

If there are graphics you should also consider DVCPro 50 or ProRes as they’re much higher-quality codecs compared to DV.

Thanks John… I don’t have to many graphics involved other than a lower third with a telephone number and website url… I do however have a few still images of magazine spreads that are incorporated into it… would those codecs be applicable to still images as well?

You didn’t mention your system specs so I’m not sure if disk space and speed are an issue. That said, I’d use DVCPro50 (roughly equivalent to Beta SP) or ProRes (looks close to uncompressed). They will look better than DV for a variety of reasons.
