    Hi all:

After many years working in Web-only projects, my knowledge of broadcast workflows has gotten a but rusty. Now I have a project destined for broadcast on HDTV, and I’m working on it in 16 bits and using the Rec 709 color space (but *not* the 16-235 one). My reference monitor is also set to display 0-255.

What I’m wondering is: if the TV station’s specs require minimum black/white values of 16-235, do I need then to set the color space to “HDTV 709 16-235” and redo all the design, color correction, etc.? Or can I just set the output module’s color profile to “HDTV Rec. 709 16-235” and let AE perform the conversion automatically?
