I have picture lock in Premier CS5 (pre synced RED footage) and now want to put out an EDL that my sound designer can use. He has FCP 6 or 7 and wants to work with many audio tracks. The picture cut has 4 tracks of intercut dialogue. We’ve tried XML and it hasn’t worked – FCP can’t open it. Next I’m going to try a simple EDL, trouble is when I’ve tested this I always have to relink my media which is a real drag.
    Any thoughts/recommendations?

I kinda ran into this problem too.

What i did was I exported each track individually. For me I had 2 tracks of dialoge, 1 track for proxy music and 1 for sfx like ambient sounds.

    Hope this helps.

Well since it is for fcp, i exported to aiff.

So each track individual to aiff.
And a low resolution mov file for him to use as a visual guide.
