Exporting DVCProHD native file
Looking for the easiest way to export a DVCProHD file, say, a 20 minute video. Don’t want to export to a P2 card. Just want to export a file to a drive that can be easily imported into other editing applications. If not DVCProHD, I’m looking for a low bitrate HD file type that can be easily exported out of Avid and imported into other editing applications.

DNxHD 115..or 145. Whatever is available for that format. The other computers just need to download the FREE Avid DNxHD codecs and they are good to go.

Why not try Same-As-Source? Quickest export, no quality loss.

Same as source requires working in DVCProHD. So if you’re working in DNxHD, you’ll need to transcode before exporting. It’d be nice not to take that extra step.

The topic made me assume you wanted to stay native. Hence same as source. If not, transcode to a middle-high flavor of DNxHD, then use same as source to export.
