exporting a movie in a left and right side
I am working on a motion project 2460px x 768px.
Now I need to export this movie in a leftside part and a rightside part to compress and later join together in Watchout. I would like to split the movie in two 1230×768 parts.To do this I have tried to simply change the project properties to 1230×768. Motion then by default centres all media in the resized canvas.
Does anyone know a way to reposition all the media in a simple way?
I would like to avoid to reposition every item of media in the project.Any other ideas on how to go about this?

I came up with the solution myself. You just put all the groups in a new group. Then you reposition that group where you want it.

repeating a thread from another forum, the best answer was to export out a full resolution quicktime,
then make two copies/exports in QuicktimePro by adjusting the geometry/size. -
I did a similar set-up with 5 HD monitors. My trick was to position a camera in each of the 5 sections, and when exporting, I chose which camera I wanted in the advanced export settings.

I have a similar problem. but with after effects i guess
i need to export a 5120 x 768 file split into five 1024 x 768 files. im wondering what would be the easiest way to do this, if i already have video files rendered at 5120 x 768.
the camera idea for each section might work in after effects??? i will try that out… I am unsure how accurate that might be though…
any ideas? an alternative or stand alone app that might help?
