  • Exporting a motion blur mask in AE 6.5 for Premiere 2.0

I have to blur out a very small section of video in the upper right corner of the screen (a brand name product appears on a shelf behind the sit down interviewee) and wanted to create a mask to do this in AE 6.5. I’m a total newb at AE, I’ve been reading a tutorial on how to do this but at this point it’s all gibberish to me as I’m still learning the interface.

How do I make a small 100×70 pixel tranparent mask with a blur effect on it, that I can export from AE, then import into premiere 2.0 to lay over my video on track video 3, to blur out that small offending section of video?

Or do I need to import the entire AVI file/interview into AE, create & apply the mask there, then re-export the entire AVI? If that’s the key, how do I do this?

Sorry for the lack of understanding, I just got AE installed and literally opened Trish & Chris Meyer’s tutorial guide a few days ago. My knowledge is limited to lower 3rd creation right now.

    Any help is appreciated.
