Exporting a High Quality MPG-1?
Hey there! I want to start by saying I absolutely love creativecow. I have found more poignant and straight-forward solutions here than anywhere else, and am glad to now be a member. However, I wouldn’t be here without a question, which I’m sure has a simple solution that I just can’t find:
I created a 10-second spot in FCP as requested by an outside company. Their specifications are as follows: 1) Video Only; 2) 1368×768 dimensions; 3) mpg format; 4) <10MB.
I'm assuming a 16x9 ratio will work for what is desired. However, my trouble comes when converting to mpg. Mpg-4 and mpg-2 are both incompatible with their system. This leads me to believe mpg-1 is the only format they are able to use. Unlike the others, I cannot export mpg-1 from FCP using compressor to obtain a file size of anything greater than 3 MB, even with maxed out settings (inasmuch as I know them); as you can imagine, I aim to get as close to 10MB as I can. The quality suffers immensely under current conditions, is there an alternate way to increase the size and quality of a regular mpg export?
The file exports ~160MBs as a mov file.
