  • Exporting a FCP file directly to Compressor

    Hello,

After completing a project with added DVD Studio Pro markers, I usually export the project to a QT movie. Then I use Compressor to encode the QT file. Once encoded, I import to DVD Studio Pro, add a menu, and then burn to a DVD.

Will I compromise the quality of the final output, if I export directly from FCP to Compressor, and skip rendering to a QT movie?

    Thank you,
    Sam Boulton

Not at all, but the rendering time may increase.
If you, as I guess, makes a Double Pass compression, everything is rendered twice, even if the sequence have been fully rendered.
