  • Exporting a FCP 7 XML to Premiere Pro – CS6

Im working on a hour documentary and now am giving to a sound mixer for audio work. I cut the film on FCP 7 and need to get the sequence to the sound mixer whos working on Premiere Pro CS6 on a PC.
I created a new project in FCP with only the final sequence in it and than using media manager I copied the media from the sequence to a separate drive. I then exported an XML file for use with Premiere.

For some reason, when the mixer opens the XML in Premiere a lot of the clips reference wrong in/out points and some clips reference time code which does not exist in the original source clips.

Has anyone heard of or encountered a problem like this with Premiere before?

    Thanks,

    Jason Pollard
