    Hey there,

I was hoping someone or anyone could help me. I have just finished a 30sec film (tv ad) on my G5
using final cut pro 4.1 and have saved in a quicktime.mov format. I burnt it to a disc so i can play the
quicktime movie on my G3 800 mhz Power PC. Problem the clip wont run right, it skips, freezes, plays
just the audio, skips to end etc. I was told to save it as soreson 3 or jpeg, kinda worked but still the
same problem. Im new to final cut pro, but i think im doing pretty good. This problem is really
pissing me off. As i’ve tried to save it in so many different file types, i’m starting to loose hair here.

Any help would be like finding heaven….

    Kind regards Grant

Are you playing it from the CD or copying the movie to the HD first? It should play fine on your HD (if not pump up the RAM). If its from the CD I’d check to see if the CD player is up to scratch, i.e. does it playback at only 8x?
