Hi Vince
Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated.
I am doing a degree in photography at present and have moved into video. In effect i will be doing presentations of video and images combined. I am using After effects and Premiere Pro to achieve this. The camera I have use of is a Canon XH A1S which delivers 1440X1080 HDV video. The presentation has been put together in AF with an output size of 1024×576 which I believe is Pal/DV widescreen setting.
The problem I had was converting the video into a usable format for the presentation in AF. After searching the forum database last night I set the conversion to mpeg2 1440x1080i25 high quality and then opened it up in AF. This with resizing gives a reasonable rendition. I don’t know whether that is right but it got me out of jail. I suppose in hindsight I will have to work at a higher size overall ie 1440X1080.
The use for this finished piece will be a quicktime video that can be presented at University from computer and also to be uploaded to website youtube to start and then onto the university website at a later date.
That is all I need to know at present so any info/settings that you can give would be much appreciated.
Once again thanks for your input.
Regards
