    exporting 720p24 clip from motion back into FCP 5.1.4

    I put a 720p24 clip into motion for some f/x work and tried to export (file>export). The export icon blinks, but refuses to activate.

    I tried to export using compressor but find a bewildering array of settings- and of course no 720p24.

    What is the best way to export 720p24 files from motion??

    In motion, I opened a 720p24 “new project” and “imported” the clip I parked on desktop. However when I opened it in motion, I noticed it was not true 1280 x 720. Is this a red flag?

    Please advise!

    Not really- different cameras produce different pixel shapes. For example Panasonic HD cameras like the HVX200 shoot 720p at 960×720. This is normal.
