I shot a short film using 720 HD footage. It looks great on final cut pro and on my external monitor but when i compress it for dvd(standard) it looks terrible. Theres added noise and the color is off. I am using a pre set for dvd exporting on Compressor. How can I get the image im seeing on final cut pro to be the same when i play it on a dvd? Thanks!

well you are going from HD to SD and the HD is highly compressed they will never look the same. I have posted tips on getting better quality many times, do a search try some stuff, post detailed info on settings and procedure and you can get specific info.

How long is your movie, what preset did you use?
