I just finished editing some 24 f sd footage from a canon xh a1 using the 2332 pulldown setting in the camera setup, and the same preset in pp2 which i downloaded from adobe. It edited fine and looked great on monitor playback
but when i exported to dvd it had a stairstep type artifact on the slightest movement and was out of focus. When i exported to adobe media encoder and a wmv file it was fine. Am i using the wrong dvd export setting..if so, which would apply? One of the settings resulted in a coaster and a dll plugin error message. I’m guessing there’s a codec mismatch in the burner or the adobe plug in preset didn’t install clean, but then it was fine on wmv export..
    Any help much appreciated.

What are your settings on the DVD export ? Progressive ? What about the WMV ?

I don’t work in 24P SD, but I’ve been told that converting 24P back to 60i usually leads to some quality issues, stepping being one of them.
