May 20, 2010 at 4:02 amclick on the top of the browser and right click. select to add TC rate to the column headings (its not in the default set).
You can see if your timeline or clips are running 60fps timecode by just stepping through them as well.
It is actually possible to accidentally set FCP to display the wrong timecode rate with both sources and sequences.
Not saying this is the problem, but it seems possible…given that your sequence plays properly, its just your timings that are screwed up. It also explains why your new sequence does not have the problem.

May 20, 2010 at 1:53 pmI think the answer to this problem is indicated in the original post and eluded to in some of the responses.
The original post states his source timebase is 23.98 and “assumed” sequence timebase is 23.98 but then says his sequence ends at 01:46:06:29.
You can’t have an end frame at :29 (frame 29) if your timebase only goes between 0-23.
The sequence timebase does not match the source material.

May 20, 2010 at 5:08 pmThanks to all for their notes, but Dave, that is totally uncalled for. Why are you making this personal? I am not a newbie, I simply overlooked the setting for timecode rate. Nor had I assumed it was a 23.98 sequence, I went through and checked that in sequence settings. I appreciate everyone’s help, but lets keep things civil, please.
