First, I have no red bars that say my video needs rendering. I marked an in at begining of my video and an out at the end, and hit apple-r and it says all the rendering is completed. I went to sequence: render in-out and did that as well. However everytime i export an avi file and preview it, i get the “unrendered” screen between clips.
I dont understand why it is doing that when it says it has been all rendered. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

There are other levels of render beside “red”. Go to the Sequence menu, make sure every level of render in both the Render Selection and Render All have check marks next to them. I bet there’s a render level being missed.

Also, Mix Down Audio does more than simply Rendering the audio, and is often needed. Just hit Option+Apple+R to do an audio mixdown.

if bbalser’s suggestion doesn’t work, try hitting CMMD+A (select all) then CNTRL+B (disable clips) then CNTRL+B again (re-enable clips) — this should un-render everything — then ALT+R (render all)
