  Export XDCAM MXF with 10 Channels of Audio for Broadcaster

  Hi,

  We have a broadcaster spec sheet requiring MXF XDCAM422 50Mbit with 10 channels of audio. This is the third or fourth time that we’ve seen this, but haven;t been able to find a workflow that will allow more than 8 channels of audio. Avid always gives an error message stating that XDCAM is limited to 8 channels and from what I’ve been reading, that seems to be the case for all NLEs, but apparently broadcast servers can ingest 16 channels in XDCAM format? Does any one have a workflow for a post house using avid to achieve these specs?
