  Export to tape problems with dsr 1800

  I currently am set up using a sony dsr 1800 deck with premiere pro 6.5, and am able to capture video with no problems, and have full control over the deck for this. However, when I export to tape, the deck says there’s no iLink input. I am able to export without problems to a dsr 11 I also have. I have spoken with Sony, and they said the ballistics for the dsr 11 should work for the 1800, but it won’t for me. Has anybody had trouble with this before, or got any ideas?
