    Hi
My problem occures when I try to export my timeline to DVD. I`ve got a project with menu, which look ready to go in the preview, but when I enter the “burn DVD” box, neither the “burn”-button nor the “settings”-button are available. (They are light grey, not pushable). So I`m stuck there, and all I can do is to see that the DVD is marked “ready”, but I have no further options.
I`ve tried to just push enter, then the process starts, but after 1 sec. it says transcoding error.

    Got any tips?

    A few basic questions:

    a) Project settings?
    b) Media used in the project?
    c) Do you have a DVD burner in your system?
    d) Did your DVD burner come with a software package? If so, make sure that the software is not running in the background.
    e) Is there a DVD in the drive?

I have the same problem. I am using a demo version to evaluate the package. Burning to a DVD from the timeline is very important. My sequence is very simple, 6-8 scenes digitized from a home style mini dv camcorder. Black and graphic at head and tail. I have a DVD burner with media in it. My computer came with burning software but it is not running. Here’s something interesting…I loaded alternative burning software and it does not recognize the DVD drive…related?

    thanks
