  export TIFF from FCP, composite in AFX, render back for FCP…levels change

  Here’s my workflow.

  Export TIFF frame from FCP, open in Photoshop, cut out elements, bring into AFX, do motion graphics treatment. Ending frame is back to the standard frame. (desire is to “cut in” a motion graphics treatment during video paused)

  TIFF comes back into FCP with correct color. Treated PSD comes in correct. Render from AFX is much darker, looks like a lower gamma.

  I’m using ProRes. Tried 422, 422HQ, 4444. Played with Color management, gamma correction…I can’t find the recipe to get the frames to match.

  Any ideas?
