i have exported quite a few clips with CS6 now. Suddenly exporting takes much longer on my Mac Pro 8 core.
When i check CPU activity, I see only 2 cores working in full, the others either not at all or very little.
Is there a way to have all 8 cores work and therefore encode faster?
I also noticed that updating a small effect (like changing position of watermark) takes a long time, which was before in almost real time.
What could be the cause of this sudden slow down?
A 34 sec clip with no other effects than unsharp mask and a watermark takes now 5 hours to complete (before much less than 1 hour). After that, I wanted to encode an other clip and it said 10 hours… impossible!
    edit: forgot to mention:
I am using a Mac Pro 2007 8 core, 16 Gb RAM and on the startup disk is still 20 GB space left. I set the memory (RAM share) to 13 GB. I cleared the cache inside Premier. The encoded files are written to an internal hdd with 7200 RPM
