I’m exporting a quicktime with h.264 compression so I choose export to quicktime compression and click the options button to set the H.264 settings. While this “sub” dialog box is open, I switch to a browser to look up something, then click back into FCP. Now FCP can’t figure out which dialog box is supposed to be in front, the save box or the quicktime settings box. I can click on things in the save box but none of the buttons work and the box won’t dismiss because the quicktime settings box is still open. It won’t let me bring focus to the quicktime settings box so I can’t click ok or cancel on that either. Anyone seen this bug? How do I get out of it without force-quitting FCP.?

    Hi David,
yes i had the same issue few months ago.
When exporting QT if I clicked somewhere in the finder, the export window got blocked.
Forcing quite QT or FC was the only solution.
Now it happens that hen on export I have the three windows open (Export, Export QT Movie, Codec window) the windows should be in the background may come to the foreground but I can step back just clicking the appropriate window.
