hey guys so i have a 30 minute project that was shot on the varicam 720p. the video size is that strange 960 x 720 frame size Panasonic does. i dont know that much about it. when editing i have my apple g5 hooked up to 2 hd monitors through my aja box. the frame fills both screens but when i output to a dvd i always get a letterboxe look. any ideas on if this is bad? a solution? im quite confused. i always follow a 16×9 aspect ratio but just want to make sure im not distorting my image because its hard to tell.

    thanks for your help

Well, apparently you chose that option in the DVD SP software…well, rather it defaults to that setting. because a LOT of people have 4:3 sets, so they need to see the image letterboxed. if you want an anamorphic DVD that will fill the screen, just uncheck that option in DVD SP. But then 4:3 sets will only be able to see it stretched…while your 16:9 sets will be fine.
