Export sequence to Compressor vs. reference movie
Right now, my workflow has been to render the entire sequence, make a reference file, then import the reference file into Compressor.
I am assuming that Compressor would have to render the timeline sequence if it didn’t receive either a reference file or self-contained movie… so, would it just be more efficient to export the timeline into Compressor directly?
In other words, is the quality of the Compressor encoded file effected by whether it works on a reference movie, self-contained movie, or timeline sequence?
(I do understand the usefulness of having a pre-rendered sequence and self-contained movie in general, but I am not focusing on that issue in this post.)
