  • Export QT ref after mixdown

Posted by Michal Oppenheim on October 13, 2011 at 10:09 pm

I’m trying to create a DVD from a 50min sequence. I’m working with AMA, that’s why I had to mixdown the video channels in order to create new media files. Even though I’ve done that, I keep getting an error message, that it is not possible to create QT reference, and that I have to create a QT mov.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Hi Michal,

What flavor did you transcode your AMA sequence as?

What Version of the software are you using?

What material is linked through AMA? (P2, XDCAM, QT?)

If an error message states that you cannot export a QT ref. listen to the message, it most likely does not like the codec you transcoded to.

    I would suggest DNxHD.

    Hi Daniel,

thank you very much for the respond.
I’m using the MC 5.0.0 and the files that i’ve linked are MP4. The resolution I chose for the mixdown is XDCAM EX 35Mbits MXF.

I will try it now with the DNxHD 36.

You have to move the mixdowns to their own sequence first before you can export as QTref or SAS.
