Export problem-only ex one clip not entire sequence
Posted by Amy Sharp on March 9, 2010 at 3:05 amHi. I’ve marked my in/out points in the sequence for the entire sequence but it is only exporting one clip. The clips are all from the same source clip. I’m exporting as a self-contained movie. Any ideas?

March 9, 2010 at 2:17 pmJust a guess – the viewer might be selected as you’re exporting, that would export the content between the ins and outs in the viewer.

March 11, 2010 at 2:52 pmTry clicking in the timeline then clicking command-a then exporting. Never seen this problem so I’m shooting in the dark, but it may work.

March 12, 2010 at 2:09 amSorry to report that it is still only exporting the first clip in the sequence. There has to be something I am overlooking.

March 12, 2010 at 3:03 pmYou may want to check that the timeline window is the active window and that there is nothing selected in the timeline … indeed, try pressing Apple Shift A (Deselect All) and Option X (Clear In and Out) then try exporting again.

March 9, 2011 at 12:25 amAmy, I know it’s a year later, but did you ever figure out what the problem was? I’m running FCE on my iMac and the same thing is happening. None of the suggested solutions posted worked for me. I even restarted FCE to no avail.

You need FC 6.2 to work with EX-1 footage.
