    Hi,

I have made a video that will be screen at a festival on the big screen.
They say: We prefer 16:9 aspect ratio at HDTV 1920×1080 square pixels.

I would like to know how it’s best to export the final project from Premiere

These are the details of the clips shooted with a Nikon d 500:

    Type: Filmato MPEG
    Dimension: 1920 x 1080
    Pixel Ratio: 1,0
    Video codec: MP4/MOV H.264 4:2:0 (Interval)

    I worked on a sequence which is 1920 x 1080 at 25fps.

I usually export for internet so I’m not sure what to do.

    Thanks
    Luigi

    Hi Luigi,

Festivals will typically publish the specifications for video files they will accept. Please check with the festival and to find their preferred delivery format, as whatever you provide must work with their playback equipment.

    Thanks

They didn’t tell the guy if it’s supposed to be a DCP file or what codec or anything, just the frame size. No audio information either. Is it Surround, stereo, etc.? Some “festivals” are pretty casual on the tech specs, and others, very rigid. Leaves this poster with little to take action on, until all the proper specs are communicated. That’s incredibly frustrating, like ordering a pizza and telling the chef to guess what the toppings and proportions of them need to be… and he has to get it right on the first try.

Time to contact the actual facility where the screening will be held. Perhaps they will have more information.

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.

Thanks for the answers. I have asked for more info and they said to send a mp4 and a mov. HDTV 1920×1080 square pixels.
The festival will be screen in different cinema so i guess they don’t have specification from each cinemas
