    This is driving me nuts.

I just setup a project with anamorphic video with a 2x squeeze.

In sequence settings the Pixel Aspect Ratio is set to Anamorphic 2:1. Everything looks good in the timeline!
Original camera resolution is 2944×2160, with picture image res of 2880×2160. So I’ve set the sequence resolution to 2880×2160. with the 2.1 pixel aspect. Everything looks as it should.

Now how should I export this for delivery?? Lets say I’d like to export a ProRes for Davinci? Do I export the squeezed video?
The other route I need is to export for streaming online (youtube/Vimeo), directly from Premiere.

I have done a few different things and it seems to be doing funny things – the export doesn’t seem as sharp.

For example, I set export to 1920×1080 and changed the pixel aspect ratio to Square. So it is letterboxed, but the export doesn’t look as sharp as the original video file. Weird.

I also need to figure out the best way of cropping the image to a proper 2.39 ratio not the original 2.67 that I am working with now. But first things, first, How should I export!? Please help.
    Thanks,
    -Kurt
