  Export jaggies

  I have a series of HD progressive projects that I need to export in SD for playback on a TriCaster. The TriCaster operator told me he wanted .avi files, DV encoding. However, when I export that way through Adobe Media Encoder, the result is narrow vertical pillars and, much worse, interlacing jaggies. I don’t know how it looks on the TriCaster, but it looks awful to me on my system. Is there a way I can export to meet his needs and make the video look good?
