Export Issues
I’m trying to export a 2 minute video but I’m having issues.
The footage itself is:
frames 29.97
video info 1440 x 1080 (1.3333)
Audio 48000 HzThe timeline is set to be the same….
I’d like to export to a quicktime .mov file, but it only give me standard definition sizes like 720 x 480! Even when I go to custom settings, I can’t get the output any bigger then 1280 x 1080, and the video comes out squished.
It seems I can get the right size when I export to H.264, but the file are glitchy and the quality seems really off at some points. THey just don’t play back properly.
What am I messing up on?

What codec are you using with the QuickTime container? Also, just to eliminate the obvious, when changing the size are you unchecking the little chain link next to so you can change aspect ratio.
Also, are you going to keep the anamorphic HD or are you setting it to square pixel when you export to QuickTime? If it’s set up correctly throughout your workflow, QuickTime should be able to recognize the aspect ratio and play it back properly stretched.

I was trying HDV 1080i60 and H.264.
I changed it to square pixels.
I’ve now put the footage on a sequence with the 1920 x 1080.
I unchecked the chain link and manually set the size to 1920 x 1080.The file looks great and plays well now, but I have a thin black edge surrounding the image now? Any ideas? I did change it to progressive, could that have caused this black border? Is it maybe a result of converting from 1440 1.333 to 1920×1080 1 ?
It didn’t show anything on the output preview when I looked at it.
