I have a movie on my timeline that is 1:28:40:15. I have a screening tonight that I need to export a high res version for. I exported a QT Ref File and took that into Mpeg Streamclip to make an H.264 QT with Multiple Pass, but it keeps failing. Does anyone have a better idea how I should export this for the screening tonight?

What encoders do you have available? Adobe Media Encoder will do a great job, as will Squeeze and Compressor.

Thanks, Shane. I have Media Encoder and Compressor. Do you not like Mpeg Streamclip or do the other ones just do a better job? I haven’t used Compressor in a long time. Can I use QT Ref Files in Compressor? What settings should I use? Thanks.

MPEG STREAMCLIP is free…and thus isn’t 100%. It’s good for many things, but I’d never use it for final High-Res H.264 encoding. I prefer media Encoder for that.
