  • export from FCP to AE on a PC

    Hi

I’ve tried to export as a QT ref file, but even though it plays on my media player classic it looks all white in AE and avid. If I name it .mov I can hear the sound in media player classic and if I name it .ref I can see the picture. Neither works in AE.

Any suggestions to other format I could export as or how I would get the ref file working?

I would normaly work on avid but my avid is old and FCP was better for P2

    Please help

    Hi

I got my reference file and all the media on an external hard disk. It did play in media player classic when I named it .ref (I got quicktime alternative)

I don’t actually know what codec I export as. Is there a codec with reference files? how do I find out what codec I’m exporting?
