  • EXPORT file too big?

    I am exporting my first film. It’s 20 minutes and the Quicktime movie file is 1.5 GB. Why is it so large and what can I do to make it smaller but still look good for the web? Does it need to be rendered first before export? I can’t seem to find a consistent answer on this one. I’m using FCP 6 and export using Quicktime Conversion: Size = 640×360
    CODEC = h.264
    Data rate: 1500
    Audio = AAC audio, 48kHz. Render settings = Best. Target bit rate = 128+. Mono
    Key frame interval = 24 and another at 5
    Fast Start: On.
    Frame rate: Current.
    Frame Controls: Off.
    Multi-pass: On.
    Frame reorder: On.
