  • Export as individual clips but with speed effect applied or ‘baked’

Maybe this has been asked before but, is there some way in DVR 14 to export all or selected timeline clips, as individual clips, but with speed applied, or ‘baked’, and with handles? This is a VFX requirement.

At the moment, when we export, say, a 2 sec clip on the timeline (24fps), which has a 200% speed applied to it, we get an export of 96 frames since the original length is 4 sec. Can this be exported as a 48 frame clip? I know this happens when one exports as ‘single clip’ but then one can’t get handles with ‘single clip’.

The workaround I’m using is to lift the clips to a higher track, add handles manually, then make it into a compound clip, trim back the handles, then place the clip back. Do this for all clips one by one. And then export them as ‘individual clip’ with 8 frame handles.

For a handful of clips this works fine. But for hundreds, its tiresome.

Besides, you can’t export a compound clip at source resolution so in multiple res timelines even the resolution has to be typed manually for each clip.
