Export 16:9 from timeline to wmv
Hi
I need to export a 16:9 clip (Anamorphic) from timeline to .wmv. I’ve searched Forums and tried various techniques:
Exporting first to QT with custom setting (1280×576) then using QT or Cleaner to create .wmv but finished file is always 4:3 + Using DV PAL 48Khz Anamorphic Setting on QT Export.
I’ve adjusted aspect ratio in QT Pro, though when I do the clip is still not as widescreen as original.
Any hints much appreciated.

Hi Maria-Luisa,
1280 x 576 is not 16 x 9.
1024 x 576 is 16 x 9.
I think that you are complicating the things.
Your movie is PAL Anamorphic (720 x 576 PAL Anamorphic pixels).
Just export with a size that keeps the 16 x 9 proportions, like:
– 320 x 180
– 480 x 270
– 640 x 360……
In any computer the pixels will be displayed as Square and the clip will look properly 16 x9.
