  • Exploding a single clone via mograph selection tag

I’m getting frustrated that I cant work this out.

I say put a cube under a cloner object and make a grid of cubes. I then select 1 cube via mograph selection tool. How can I make this cube explode? Cant seem to work out how to get a deformer to only effect 1 of my clones?

Anyone got any tips for me on this?

Explosion or Explosion Fx deformers came long before Mograph and don’t have a tie-in to Mograph Selection. You’d have to use two clones in a Coner but use the Shader effector (which can use the Mograph selection) to have one clone different in your grid and apply the deformer to that.

of course, if you wanted the pieces to react to the rest of the clones that would require dynamics but the basic setup would be the same
