When I installed AE3 for the first time I did activate it.
The other times, after re-installing I couldn’t activate because the whole program didn’t start and i only got the error you can see in my first post.

Could there be another cause, because I really want to use it again!
    Thanks, Rick

I don’t know if this will help from Adobe’s website.

If that doesn’t work, it’s probably worth giving Adobe support a ring, and let us know what they have to say.

    Good luck,
    Ben

Hi Rick, in reply to your post re: license expiry of After Effects, that really shouldn’t have happened if you have a genuine and registered copy. I don’t have any immediate long term solutions, but the same thing happened to a friend of mine. This is what he did: In order to carry on using it until you find a better solution, simply turn your system clock back to early November 2007 {via Control Panel}, you should find that After Effects will start up as normal. Good luck.

Yes, set your date on your computer to 1 year ago. ( 2006 )

    Works!

    Hello,

I just bought Adobe After Effects a few weeks ago, and it was doing a great job.
Until yesterday, when everytime I tried to start AE CS3, it came with an error about an expired license.

    https://img211.imageshack.us/img211/1517/licenseerrorqf3.png

I have tried to install it again, but it doesn’t seem to work.

Does anyone know how this could happen, and how i can solve this?

    Thanks,
    Rick
