As I do my work in Premier Pro CS3, I suddenly need to do a composition in AE CS3 using a little part of my HD footage. What would be the best way to proceed? Actually I select on the timeline the part I need in AE I choose export create an HDV setting (because I dont see any save as HD or HDV or lossless or…. setting) I wait…., import the footage edit save and import the AE file (thats the good part) witch is recognized by Premier. Ouff! thats it for a 3 seconds edit in AE.

You can select the clip in the timeline, and paste it into an AE comp. It will be the same cut clip from the timeline. It might paste itself in the same timeline position in time too. Just select its layer if its not seen in the comp and press alt+HomeKey to snap it to the head of the comp time.
