I have attached a screenshot of my timeline, these images were exported from Powerpoint as an image sequence. I am going through the sequence, laying them down and as soon as I hit slide/image #41 I started getting the “unlimited” render status. This slows down my preview bigtime as I am throwing opacity on the slides and playing back at 2x speed, when the status is the green/acqua color (vs. blue) the audio plays smooth but when it is orange it is virtually inaudible. This is a XDCAM EX 24p 35mbps sequence.

Any ideas? Maybe something simple I am overlooking, this has happened with all the previous timelines too.

    Thanks

    Hi Elijah,
    Try rising the “Stills Cache”.
BTW, why are you editing in an XDCAM sequence?
Even if you are delivering in that format, you will work much better in a prores sequence.

    You da man Rafael!!

As far as the XDCAM vs. Prores sequence goes, no reason just inexperience! I thought that it would render faster this way, mainly. I will play around with it.

    Cheers,

    Elijah

    Hi Elijah,
XDCAM is one of the slower rendering options available.
If you are delivering in XDCAM, is better to export to a good Intraframe codec (Prores or Uncompress) and re-encode the final master to XDCAM.
Don’t forget to set “Render in High Precision”.
    Cheers,
    rafael
